Every season I look forward to traveling the backroads of the Pacific Northwest and camping in forest campgrounds. My garage currently keeps a KLR 650 and the 1200GS rested for the next adventure.

Chumstick Summit BBQ 2006 : A GPS oriented ride featuring geocaches along the way and a BBQ at the finish. The route is designed and hosted by JR and is focused on the territory around Chumstick Summit. It is specifically a Puget Sound Big Trailies club event with special invites for others. H2H05 : The H2H05 ride (Hell to Heaven,2005 )was hosted by Happy Trails of Boise Idaho. 4 days of backcountry roads around Hells Canyon and central Idaho were outlined by the crew at Happy Trails. 30 riders enjoyed superb scenery and great ride routes complete with dinners and breakfasts served by the Happy Trail staff. Bill Massey from Ellensburg and I put on about 1300 miles on this trip..

Chumstick BBQ : A GPS oriented adventure ride with a hosted BBQ at the camp. It was a special invite for members of the Puget Sound Big Trailies group. Fourteen motorcycles were on the ride. There were waypoints for caches (and clues to find the hidden tickets along the way in). A drawing was held at camp and small prizes were given. GPS routes for in and and out were sent to all who participated. It will become an annual event..
